  • "Love is Enough" Exhibition at the Green Tree Gallery
  • Love is Enough

The Green Tree Gallery is one of those magical places that make you realise just how much creative talent we have on our doorstep. The gallery itself is a beautiful building full of the most wonderful work selected and presented with love. The current exhibition is inspired by the William Morris Poem 'Love is enough' and is a joyous celebration of this glorious emotion.

  • Dave Bradshaw Exhibiting in Cornwall

David Bradshaw is exhibiting his fantastic sculptural work at two galleries in Cornwall, this Autumn.

David's sculpture really must be experienced 'in the flesh', so please take time to visit.

More Than Art in Saltash, and the Lime Kiln Gallery in Calstock are displaying David's work, along with pieces by many more local, Cornish artists.

  • Exhibition
  • The first Slippery Jacks exhibition was an outstanding success.

Most of the artists who submitted work (for free) sold, and we were delighted with the reception we received in Dorking, Surrey.

We are planning on this being an annual event - location TDB - watch this space!

Contributors included Nicholas Down, Tiana, Dave Bradshaw, Farida Kahn-Evans, Andy Treepirate, Erica Hemming, Anne McEntire, Sam Lauren Smith, Victoria Lovell and Sophy Holden.

  • Cornwall New Age Conference 2005
  • Perranporth Beach

The Slippery team are back from the Cornwall New Age Conference, and a splendid time was had by all. Once again, Bo and Carolyn Bowyer put life and soul into creating a magical event that was a true honour to be part of. Despite a wee bit of snow, and some creative journalism, visitors who ventured out were assured of a wonderful time. Again, the gift of friendships renewed, and new friendships made, have enriched lives beyond measure.

Superb performances were given by Dragonfly Moon, Nigel Shaw & Carolyn Hillyer, Stormwolf, the Daughters of Gaia and Stephen Page, among many others. Add to this vibrant spectacle, demonstrations of Belly Dancing (yes, we joined in), Tai Chi and Yoga, what a treat! Our love and thanks go to each and every performer for the unique gifts they brought to the event.

Special thanks go, of course, to Bo and Carolyn for enabling this event to take place and for letting Slippery's to join in. Also to Barbara Meiklejohn Free for her unreserved support and encouragement; to the angelic Debbie Clayton and Karen Kay for their radiant light, and to the effervescent Duchy Healers.

Our love goes out to all the wonderful people that we met; in particular the Keeper of Bees and Lover of Trees (remember - fairy dust lasts forever) and to the wonderful couple who will one day open the Rainbow Valley Healing Centre for Animals, Blessed Be.

Thank you to all the staff at the Ponsmere Hotel, for keeping us fed and watered. The event would have been nothing without your help.

Finally our deepest love and affection must go to Wendy from the Screech Owl Sanctuary, who's unreserved love and understanding for her birds was not only humbling but infectious. Thank you.

  • Glastonbury Goddess Conference 2005
  • Glastonbury Goddess Conference

Well, all we can say is wow! The 10th anniversary Goddess Conference in Glastonbury was absolutely amazing. Slippery's accompanied Tiana to the event and were completely blown away by the warmth of the reception. It was an honour to be involved and a privilege to work alongside so many wonderful people. Our thanks go, in particular, to Tyna Redpath for making it possible for us to join in.

Traders from all over the world came together to support this marvellous event. In addition to the wonderful artwork from Tiana, we had spangles, jangles and mystical treasures from Egypt which prompted a raft of women to take up belly dancing one day.    De godin in jezelf from the Netherlands brought unique, fairytale gowns capable of transforming women of all sizes. The fantastic mother and daughter team inspired all women with their mantra 'find the beauty inside yourself and love it'.

Artist Wendy Andrew also showed her stunning work. Her paintings 'inspired by mythology, the faerie realms and the natural world' are truly beautiful.
